A flibbertigibbet! A will-o'-the wisp! A clown!. Films, telly, bits of radio are my thing. Oh and London’s pubs, I’m often seen in the pub.

Hello computer.
Went to see that Marty Supreme up The Castle, Homerton. Smashing film and a smashing little cinema.

Somewhat of a departure for The Cure from what I just saw on the Jubilee Line.

I’ll give this postbox sipping opportunity a miss.

Watching a bit of Gladiators and one of the rounds is them just twatting down increasingly reinforced walls with brute force. Excellent entertainment that. Kids up and down the nations and regions slapping on a cycling helmet to run Pellmell into garage doors.

An amazing tour today of the old Carlton cinema on Essex Rd.

Lovely to see Tony Eastlake, the flower man of Islington, remembered on Essex Rd.

Spotted this in The Victoria on Bellenden Rd the other day, at first I thought it was a DHFC football sticker but looking at it I think it’s just talking about 12 pubs in the area. Which ones though?

The Victoria, Bellenden Road. Famous in the main as the exterior for Last Orders with Hoskins and Caine. Beautiful back bar.

The Prince Albert, Bellenden Road. Lovely local boozer famous for its karaoke and the small black blur here is the occasional pub dog Lilly.

The Dove, Hammersmith. Haven’t been here in years. Lovely little front room with a fire by the bar. Very cosy.

Nice to see something positive written about the Swiss but it’s also unfortunate that it currently looks like this since closing suddenly last year.

Sequel to Hamnet looks rubbish.

I never noticed this wonderful bit of London transport history captured in Mission Impossible. ‘DLR now open at weekends’ on the side of the bus.

Not sure how I feel about The Gruan revealing the Park Tavern to the wider world. Main fear is a great trad Irish boozer untouched in the main by Finsbury Park’s new modernity becoming as swamped as the Fullback has become with Guinness heads. www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle...
The pub that changed me: ‘It was close. It served Guinness. And it had (just about) functioning toilets’
Every week my DisOrient FC team and I would show up at the Park Tavern, our second home, drown our sorrows after a five-a-side match and forge ongoing friendships

Just had one of them urbane foxes knocking about near me who’s become the lucky recipient of some pocket meats I had to hand.

I’d definitely dress like Space 1999 Martin Landau on The Traitors.

Having to do some double takes at things on here at the moment due to some Anglo-American confusion; first Jonathan Ross went mental but it wasn’t him and now people are going on about NPR but its not NPR, it’s NPR. Stay tuned for my killer material on fannys and courgettes next week.

Listening to this and Wikiholing on Charlie Chaplin’s family. Astounding linage into film, television, theatre, circus performing and interestingly Jefferson Airplane membership, all this spanning across the US/UK/Ireland and Switzerland. www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/brand...
