A fun read for all the cat lovers! You don’t even have to be a cat lover really, just curious how these furry little gremlins wiggled their way into our homes. A few points off for a dragging a bit in the middle, but otherwise an enjoyably informative read

I love Jasmine but this didn’t really hit for me. Cute setting at a winery in Napa, but their relationship arc wore on me a little. Most certainly the spiciest of her books!

Alright #romancelandia what did we think of the new EmHen? I liked it, but was a little more invested in the Ives story than the actual romance. Certainly a departure from her normal tho. Would love to hear your opinions!

This one was cute! Muslim retelling of Pride and Prejudice. Dragged in some parts, but a proper retelling while also remaining its own thing.

An interesting read! Recommend if you’re curious about how the language of cults has permeated our everyday life. This book made me more sympathetic towards cult survivors, and made me delete the phrase “drink the kool aid” from my vocabulary.

A fun read that I think will also be a fun series! A quirky cast of likeably imperfect characters learning how to take the sh*t life throws at them. And I’ve never read a book set in Fullerton before! (My alma mater)

This was not the greatest book I’ve ever read, nor the worst. Had a fun cast of characters, and always appreciate people winning against bigots in these trying times. There’s some bait and switch here so if that’s not your thing then maybe skip this one

I listened to this on audiobook and really enjoyed it! Paul does a great job narrating, and I think that made it more enjoyable than just reading. A fun book that’ll make you laugh, but maybe check the TWs cuz the title is only kind of a joke

Admittedly Linda Holmes can do no wrong imo; this book was no exception. A podcaster agrees to go on 20 first dates for a show. Delightful rom-com antics ensue. Characters were imperfect and human and lovely and I was rooting for them the whole time

A few points off for a super corny ending, but always love spending time with the O’Haras. A few good one liners about love and grief, paired with Rowley’s signature humor. Made me long for sitting lakeside in Italy with a spritz in hand. Guncle forever

I love Normal Gossip but this was kinda meh for me. It was well researched, but I sometimes had a hard time following her train of thought. Could also be a classic case of expectations were too high

I just love Conan so much. His silliness and self-depreciation, yet clear love for the art form, is just perfect

I think this is my fav in the series! We love the fantasy of a caring politician, especially in these trying times. Loved their chemistry, the trial of going public, the heartbreaking separation. Guillory showing why she’s the queen yet again

Making my way through my Jasmine Guillory back log. The MCs pretending to hate each other was a little annoying, but Guillory came through with the feels at the end, as per usual.

This book had potential but it missed the mark for me. It was a lot of telling what happened, so it kinda took me out of the rom-com moments. I feel like there’s potential there and this was her debut, so I would read another book by her tho

A cute and quick read for the Parks and Rec fans out there. Most is about the show, some personal anecdotes from Jim sprinkled in. Recommend if you need some fluff and are a fan of the show.

I enjoyed this. However, I’m giving it a mid grade cuz I was more invested in the mystery of Griff’s parents and Hanna’s bonesetting than their romance. Appreciated seeing regency London from a working class Arab perspective tho.

LA gets a bad rap, but the minute these fires started people hustled to help. Help from the schools and libraries, the LGBTQ+ centers, the undocumented workers, the independent bookstores and small businesses. Everything that they want to restrict access to has been what’s saving us.
