I love the idea of having middle school students use the primary sources as a safe entry to friendship conversations. We have advisory/homeroom groups that incorporate SEL standards, and this would be a great resource to use.
When students return to school, some will be excited to see friends, while others may experience only anxiety. How would you as a K-12 teacher use the Free to Use and Reuse primary source set from the Library of Congress - "Friendship" - to open up conversations? www.loc.gov/free-to-use/...
