I’m still very excited for this season after the episode, but I’m so sad we had to miss live feeds for a weekend to keep a silly accomplice secret that won’t affect the game. #bb27

However, I am a sucker for a good mystery. The accomplice has to be someone who entered house in first group because the timer started counting down before 2nd group entered. #bb27
There is something so special about that #bb27 week one optimism. I look forward to seeing how the twists mess it up this year. 🙃

Finally catching up on The Pitt and Episode 8 is devastating. I haven’t cried that hard from a show/movie in a long time. I get why this show has been getting all the social media praise.

My Bible reading plan had me reading Ecclesiastes today which felt timely. I’m finding it helpful to say “hevel” at everything I read/see today.

A tricky thing about modern society is that no one has any idea when they don’t die.

Like, the number of lives saved by controlling air pollution in America is probably over 200,000 per year, but the number of people who think their life was saved by controlling air pollution is zero.

One of my biggest pet peeves is when I go to a dentist/doctor appt and I say teach I chemistry and they say “I hated chemistry- it was my worst subject.” Do you realize how that’s not a way to relate to me? I love chemistry and don’t expect you to love it too, but when it’s relevant to your job……

Between watching #severance finale last night and seeing #Mickey17 tonight…. I’m neck deep in philosophy of what does it mean to be alive. We really are approaching a new age with biotech and AI. The arts are telling us we need to think about what this means for humanity before it’s already here. A

Trying to understand my two year old names for things. He keeps asking to listen to funny cheese… a week later I realize he wants a SpongeBob song.

It’s an archaic process to transfer credits for college. College Board requires a letter or fax for score requests for over 15 yrs ago, then they can take up to 4 weeks for college to receive scores who take another 2-3 weeks to process and you can’t get any status updates to confirm it even worked.

In all our winning, we have lost Jesus. In all our self-congratulations, we have lost our souls.

Between me and my kids, I hate how familiar I am with our local urgent care center. This time it’s bronchitis for me.

Unpopular opinion but Kidz Bop is super creative and I’m glad they are still doing their thing. My kids love it and can listen songs that are usually totally inappropriate but have been made fun and nonsensical for their enjoyment.

I’m so glad that #TheTraitorsUS and #DoNDI are such fun watches this week. I’d never thought I’d see Dr.Will and Danielle Reyes on my tv stirring the pot and acting up a storm again. It’s such a welcome distraction to catch up on both seasons this week.

The prediction came true, been sick for past few days while he is fully better and very upset that I don’t entertain him on these snow days.

My 2 year old is sick with cough and fever and his only comfort is hand on my face sitting in my lap at all times. I see my future in two days.

Once you need to start saying the ends justify the means, you’ve lost the plot.

Having memories your kids don’t have about them is the weirdest part of watching them growing up. I started singing a Story Bot song we used to listen to 30x a day when they were 3-4 years old and they were like I have never heard that song in my life…

Following along with clips of Grammys was fun last night. Love all the amazing albums put out last year. TTPD spoke to my soul, but I know that it wasn’t for the awards. I loved watching Taylor live her best life dancing and supporting Beyoncé, Sabrina, Chappell and Kendrick.

As a chemistry teacher, all of this vvv
A chemical is not the sum of its parts.

Sodium is a metal at room temperature that explodes in water.
Chlorine is gas at room temperature, toxic if inhaled at 400 ppm for 30 min.

Together? They make sodium chloride, a chemical that dissolves in water & is essential for biological processes.

I’m curious the difference for how people see the world based on books read: people who read history facts that just focused on battles and big names and those who read historical fiction that put you in the shoes of those who lived it. Both learned history, but some felt it and see humanity thru it

It’s so hard to read so much and try to look all sorts of perspectives to become as informed as possible before having an opinion, only to have people who have read a few posts without clicking beyond headlines or seen a TikTok and going on vibes believe they have a better informed opinion.

I want to be here, but trying to find all the people I follow on all other social platforms seems like it will be a challenge. I’m not someone who is in one lane. I love science, Taylor Swift, parenting, and following Jesus.
