Just this week, I told my team I was going to start referring to leadership fads (e.g. "centers of excellence" or "polarities") as salmon hats.

TIL a spreadsheet I made in 2012 was in regular use until 2022. (I stopped using it in 2014 and left the company in 2018.)
Not only was it used for a decade, but people were so afraid of breaking it, they copied it before making changes so they could "rollback" to the last working version.
