TikTok gets a lot of crap, but the people I follow have given me invaluable independent news & info on a wide range of topics. We need a platform owned by and for the people - not Meta or Elon Musk. What if every TikTok user owned a share? Can't WE as users buy #TikTok?

I just learned that Goodreads is owned by Jeff Bezos. An alternative is StoryGraph, a Black woman-owned platform (and yes it's really easy to transfer your lists from Goodreads to StoryGraph). You know, while we're moving things.
