Perhaps the world isn't such a bad place after all..
If the monarchy is to have the respect of its subjects then it just has to do the right thing.

On this occasion they have.

End of story?

To Hell in a handcart pushed by this man? No thanks.

A conspiracy theorist who stands a reasonable chance of being listened to by a toxic mix of the ignorant, naive, gullible and plain stupid.

I'm no fan of Marxism but the version that he critiques is a total misrepresentation: it's nothing more than a looney right conspiracy theory unrelated to Marxist philosophy/politics.

Critical Thinking? Yes! But show me a scrap of evidence that he possesses it.

Yes, a long read but definitely NOT a TLDR.

I've felt somewhat uncomfortable when hearing people I respect criticise the sheer level of ignorance of so many. Reading this, however, makes me think they have a point - even though it seems elitist to do so!

Not quite the truth - there's only one really stupid person running things and just a lot of really stupid people running around after him.

Why is Ed Davey the only party leader saying this?

It would be good to hear Keir Starmer and Kemi Badenoch saying the same.

Ditto Nigel Farage, though not a hope in hell I would guess..
Elon Musk is no friend of our United Kingdom. He should be held to account for allowing truly vile and illegal child abuse content on his platform.

An encouraging and convincing dissection of Farage's empty smoke and mirrors that far too many just can't see through.

The urgent message is for Starmer and others to stop pussyfooting around and expose Farage and Reform for the charlatans they are and what tripe they peddle.

Such a sensible and realistic analysis: why the government won't (or thinks it can't) take the risk of being straight doesn't make sense. Get the bad news over with now, be honest and move forward. 🤔

What a moving piece.

It reminds me of what my father said to me as a child: "Whatever else you do be kind and try to leave the world just a little better for having been it."

I think after reading this I need to give a little more thought to what Dad said to me all those years ago.

Every day I think about something @morganj0nes.bsky.social said (paraphrasing from memory): “At some point you have to decide if you’re going to be led by your values or your resentments.” The anti-woke people, the anti-anti-Trump people, chose their resentments and look where it took them
I think if Andew Neil were honest he would admit that his impulse to give Trump the benefit of the doubt was driven in no small part by how annoying he finds the people who were ringing alarm bells about him.

Sanewashing to own the libs.
So those of us who didn't give him the benefit of the doubt were right, same as we were right about Brexit, Farage, the Tories, and Austerity. When do we get our apology?
