During a presentation to 165 community and business leaders, I showed emotion. At one point in my career I would have cut that section out in fear of how it might make me look. A few people interpreted the emotion as passion instead of weakness. Sometimes it is ok to be vulnerable.

Just Keep Learning! This was always been something that I have wanted to do, but after moving to a new state for a new job 8 months ago, it became a need, not just a want. Thank You to the TN chapter of the American Planning Association for an informative day one.

APA's Small Town & Rural Planning (STaR) Division is a membership group of the American Planning Association. We have members across the world. What is a "small town" or a "rural area"? If you identify as a small town or rural area, then you are!

It is really hard to understand if a place is walkable until you actually walk it. Had to get a tire replaced and walked to a local restaurant to kill time. However it highlighted an opportunity to do better.
