Katy Hurt last night at Night & Day in Manchester. Country, pop, blues - this extraordinary talent can do it all. And a new album is apparently imminent which is terrific news.

First gig of 2025 was to see the electrifyingly awesome @anapopovic.bsky.social who performed a breathtaking set at @theliverooms.bsky.social in Chester. She is a positively superhuman guitarist! And once again, how lucky are we to have this venue in our city!

First cinema trip of 2025 was to see Nosferatu. Some stunning images and breathtaking photography plus an awards-worthy performance from Lily-Rose Depp that was astonishing. But I'm afraid there were some Mel Brooks moments not least Nosferatu impersonating Gru!

There is no doubt in my mind Remember Monday are going to be huge! They have the voices, the songs, the personalities and they know how to put on one hell of a show as was proved at a sold out Night and Day in Manchester on Monday. Watch them soar!

Cannot believe I got to see the mighty Elles Bailey and the magnificent Demi Marriner in my home city on the same night The Live Rooms in Chester on Sunday. They were both at the top of their game and it was a privilege to be there and to meet Demi after the show.
