I did a 10.4 mile hike yesterday, 2 miles is my norm. I was working towards this for the spring, but I needed a nature submersion!
It was MARVELOUS.
I was in the woods, prairies & along the streams
And one of my greatest JOYS is watching the sunrise & hiking with the rising sun as my companion.

The subject of this mixed media painting from 2015 is the pond in the grounds of the Old Rectory, Yelling (a curiously named village). I enjoyed sitting there working on this. A couple of moorhens can be seen swimming around sketched in on the far side.
