throwing my hat in the ring and made a shiny bingo card for 2026! i'm bringing back a couple old, unfinished DTQs, as well as introducing my "crystal" (it's actually multiple games) DTQ that i've been wanting to do for ages, which is the top row + ninetales. the rest is random stuff for variety!

i made shiny bingos for 2024 and 2025 and then did not shiny hunt anything on them because of real life and depression getting in the way, so i’ve been feeling hesitant to try again, but i’ve been making some improvements the past few weeks and a friend encouraged me, so i think i might try again

i’ve been trying to make progress on website stuff the past couple days but the barometric pressure has been horrifically low ever since a cold front with a lot of wind started slamming us recently and as a result i feel totally wiped out and exhausted… wish i wasn’t so reactive to it

it’s a christmas miracle! i wasn’t counting hatches but this definitely went overodds. which is unfortunate, because it was meant to be a christmas gift for a friend. i guess i got it an hour before midnight at least!

even just making an incredibly simplistic eevee vpet for my javascript fundamentals class has really given me appreciation for just how much goes into the tiniest of actions. i made baby’s first state machine and baby’s first “draw every frame” function and felt like my third eye opened

i am so excited to get back to the BMF refactor once i’m done with this college semester. i am also simultaneously working on a secondary personal website project… lots of stuff to do on winter break! i really need to get better at time management next semester…

i think we need to bring back calling RGBY “chromatics” and GSC “metallics”
i have found out via old web that this is how some people differentiated between the two sets before a “pokemon generation” was a thing. even found a couple references to RS as “gems” but it seems to be phased out after that

i love old pokemon fansites but i always seem to end up scrolling through japanese ones because they’re more unique from each other and have more user-made content. the average webmaster age also seems to be older. it’s interesting to me how a lot of english ones are children copying each other

i am home from pokefair and exhausted but i had a great time. at least one person heard about the event and came to it because of bluesky so thank you! very excited to do this again at pokefair next year (sounds like there might be two pokefairs instead of one... exciting)
