Hello! I'm a professional plushie prototyper for Fangamer. I sometimes sell plushies on https://www.etsy.com/shop/Metroidhat. My website is www.metroidhat.com, where you can see a gallery of my past works. She/Her
I carved some Metroid stamps~ I wanna stamp some fabric, though I'm not sure what I'm gonna make out of that fabric. Any ideas?! I'll also try a few paper printing experiments~

Although I lost my save file (save your game in a separate slot before the endgame, folks!), I had a lot of fun with Metroid Prime 4! I'll play it again soon and get 100%! But for now, I'm channeling my leftover energy into making some spoiler-free, low-effort Metroid comics.

Sooooo, if you're at the Prime 4 endgame, be very careful about your save. Ideally, copy over your save file. I made a mistake and I basically lost my data.

I made a sweet little Emul plushie for a present. I love the fluffy accents in her ears, tail, cheeks, and chest! It's been a long time since I made a plushie that I didn't have to worry about replicating, so I took a lot of shortcuts and used a lot of hand sewing, which I don't normally do.

My biggest fear when a new Metroid game comes out is that any new lore might mess with my precious headcanon.

The Lace plushie I prototyped is finally available! Would you believe that she's been sitting on my desk for five years?? She went through at least 5 iterations. Please enjoy these pics of some of those older prototypes, plus a pic of all the patterns I went through. More descriptions in the alts.

My prototype for the Frinos plushie is a borb. It's actually kind of challenging to make a borb that has curves in all the right places, like the jut of the mouth, the subtle curve of the head, etc. Please enjoy these pics of a pink, crescent-less, toe-less Frinos plushie.

I was tasked with translating Trogdor's very 2D design into a 3D plushie! I prototyped just the head cuz I wanted to experiment with the eyes and eyebrow placement. Is it possible to get that 2D look in a 3D plushie? ...No. No it's not. It's just too weird!

Are y'all watching the Undertale 10th anniversary stream? undertale.com/10/ I made the big Toriel up for donation! It is basically a bigger version of the small Toriel plushie available for sale from Fangamer. You can win her if you donate a bunch!

The Monster Kid plushie is adapted from a plush I made for a personal project. One interesting change is that we used knit instead of sewing fleece together to form stripes. I'm not familiar with the limitations of knit production, so it required some compromises and experimentation to make it work.

The Curly plushie from Fangamer has been revealed! I claim (take) responsibility for most of the creative work that brought him into being. And I wrote about it on my website! For lots of behind-the-scenes photos and insights, check it out here: www.metroidhat.com/ridley/curly...

I claim partial responsibility for Fangamer's latest travesty. Trucy's Magic """Bag""" is a shorts pattern in essence. Here are some of my prototype pictures and factory instructions.

Went to the Earthbound USA screening in Vancouver and saw Jazzy and Robbie on the big screen!

Y'all better believe that I've designed/prototyped plushies for some of these upcoming games.

I prototyped the recently released Jormungandr puppet from Fangamer! Or at least a wacky colored baby version of him.

My husband's out of town, so there's room on his side of the bed for two chickens to sleep. Is this a bad idea?

The Corrupted Storch plushie from Signalis is available at Fangamer! Despite how simple it looks, it has a deceptively complicated construction. That's because the stripes are actually cones, with each strip of fabric curved slightly differently in order to achieve a soft tapered candy-corn shape.

Here's the Broken Vessel prototype, from the Hollow Knight game. This plushie presented unique balancing and asymmetry challenges, as I wanted to preserve their hunched, sickly in-game posture. The second picture includes an even earlier prototype, when they had a more tentacle-like body.

Any fans of Hat in Time? Here's my prototype of the official Bow Kid plushie. Obviously she's has some crazy hair, but she's got many other little delightful details. At least, I find them delightful, from a construction standpoint! You can read more about her here www.metroidhat.com/ridley/bowki...

Once upon a time, I prototyped these Hollow Knight backpack clings. Fangamer still sells them, but we haven't made any more plushies of this size. That's because, even though they're much smaller, they're not proportionally cheaper or easier to produce than a full sized plushie.

Here's a series of Pokemon plushies I made oh... 14 years ago! They're one of a kind and feature a lot of fun elements, like polymer sculpted eyes, internal wires, and real feathers.

Here is a Jack Frost plushie that I prototyped for Fangamer! www.fangamer.com/collections/... I'm particularly proud of how I managed to make two holes in the hat in a manufacturable way. If you're a plushie maker, you might have some appreciation for how hard 'donut' holes are to make!

I prototyped the official Astrobot plushie from Fangamer! That was about two years ago; more recently, I had heavy involvement with the Kratos version of Astrobot. I didn't prototype this new version, but I oversaw the turnaround art and the sampling process.
