On October 28, 2025, MNBC Minister of Housing, Allan Lavallee met with Surrey Mayor, Brenda Locke. The meeting included a tour of the Amelia Douglas Institute and discussions on prospective housing initiatives in Surrey, British Columbia.

We are one step closer to bringing a brand-new childcare centre to Port Alberni!
