#Gibraltar - 28/01 - #StormKristin #BorrascaKristin certainly leaving her mark with highest gusts this morning to 57kts or 105km/h on the MeteoGib Wx Station & 55kts or 102km/h at the Airport and ~37mm of Rain - at midday, it's 16C.

#Gibraltar - latest radar at 10:15am, 28/01 - conditions have already been very bad this morning, but eyes to our NW where a severe squall line is currently showing!

This is likely where we'll see the highest winds/ gusts and most intense rain, if it holds together. 🔺️

#Iberia temps at 7am, 28/01 - a split across the peninsula with cold or frosty conditions across the North, with coldest Tavescan -5C and Pajares -4C, while warmest towards the S/ SW coast, with #Gibraltar, Algeciras, Rota, El Arenosillo, Faro & Sagres at 15C.

#Gibraltar - 27/01 - a wild and stormy day thanks to #StormJoseph with heavy rain and Gale force Southwest or Westerly winds gusting to 83km/h at the Airport - leading to dangerous conditions around the Rock with flying debris, also some diverted planes and water devils galore. Max 16.9C.

#Gibraltar - latest radar at 2pm, 27/01 - shows the back edge of the cold front nearing, with a switch to more showery conditions expected to follow once it clears - winds have now veered more Westerly.

#Gibraltar- another great video from MeteoGib follower Christian Ferrary of those water devils E side - 27/01 - generated by the descending rotors/ severe turbulence on the waters - at 1:30pm, highest gust still 42kts or 78km/h, but likely much higher in exposed places, around 10-17mm of rain so far

🔺️As we mentioned in our forecast for tonight, re a second spell of Gales/ Severe Gales returning for Wednesday - another GoG Severe Warning of Severe Gales has now been issued valid 10am to 1pm Wednesday 28th.

#Gibraltar - latest radar at 11:15am, 27/01 - shows the cold front/ heaviest rain still lying just West of the Strait - rain so far around 9mm - highest gusts seen so far to 42kt or 78km/h but in the local area, 52kts or 96km/h (just to severe Gale) reported over at Algeciras Pilots.
