🇫🇷 🦎 CAMELEON PANTHERE X AMBRE 🦎 "Elektite" 2/10 Le caméléon panthère (Furcifer pardalis) est endémique de Madagascar, principalement dans la région côtière nord-est de l'île. Arboricole, appréciant un climat chaud et humide, il se déplace sur les branches des grandes forêts tropicales. Ce reptile arbore une impressionnante palette de couleurs ! Vert, rouge, bleu, jaune ou encore turquoise, il ne laisse personne indifférent. Le dimorphisme sexuel est très marqué une fois subadulte. Les mâles sont plus grands et colorés que les femelles. 💎 L'ambre ou succin, est une résine végétale fossilisée âgée de plusieurs millions d'années. Connu depuis les débuts de l'humanité, du fait de son éclat orangé envoûtant, elle est utilisée en bijouterie, glacis, ornementation et même en parfumerie. On la trouve en abondance dans les Alpes-de-Haute-Provence et les Bouches-du-Rhône. 🇺🇸 🦎 PANTHER CHAMELEON X AMBER 🦎 "Elektite" 2/10 The panther chameleon (Furcifer pardalis) is endemic to Madagascar, mainly in the island’s northeastern coastal region. Arboreal and fond of warm, humid climates, it moves across the branches of large tropical forests. This reptile displays an impressive palette of colors! Green, red, blue, yellow, or even turquoise, its appearance never goes unnoticed. Sexual dimorphism is very pronounced once they reach the subadult stage: males are larger and more colorful than females. 💎 Amber, or succin, is a fossilized plant resin several million years old. Known since the dawn of humanity for its mesmerizing orange glow, it is used in jewelry, glazes, ornamentation, and even perfumery. It is found abundantly in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence and the Bouches-du-Rhône.

🇺🇸 🦎 LEOPARD GECKO X EPIDOTE 🦎 1/10 The leopard gecko (Eublepharis macularius) is a nocturnal desert lizard. Highly appreciated in terrarium keeping, it’s a popular reptile in captivity and an ideal choice for beginners. In the wild, it lives hidden among rocks in India, Afghanistan, and Pakistan. Its tail serves as a fat reserve, allowing the gecko to go several days or even weeks without food. 🪨 Epidote is a silicate mineral typical of metamorphism (the transformation of rock in a solid state under increased temperature or pressure). It can be found in the Hautes-Alpes, particularly around Saint-Véran. This stone, with its green to yellow-green hues and dark reflections, forms stubby crystals and compact masses. 🇫🇷 🦎 GECKO LEOPARD X EPIDOTE 🦎 1/10 Le gecko léopard (Eublepharis macularius) est un lézard désertique nocturne. Grandement apprécié en terrariophilie, c'est un reptile répandu en captivité et le choix idéal pour les débutants. A l'état sauvage, il vit caché entre les rochers en Inde, Afghanistan et au Pakistan. Sa queue sert de réserve de graisse car dans la nature, le gecko léopard peut passer plusieurs jours voir semaines sans se mettre quoique ce soit sous la dent. 🪨 L'épidote est un silicate caractéristique du métamorphisme (transformation d'une roche à l'état solide sous l'élévation de la température ou la pression). On le trouve dans les Hautes-Alpes, notamment à Saint-Véran. Cette roche aux teintes verdâtres, voir vert-jaunâtre tirant sur des reflets noirs forme des cristaux trapus aux masses compactes.

Discovered in Portugal, this herbivorous dinosaur lived during the Late Jurassic. Its name means “Goddess of the Earth.”

🐧 Great Auk (19th century)
Hunted for its meat, the species went extinct. It lived in the North Atlantic.

Chassé massivement pour sa chair et ses plumes, l'espèce s'est éteinte. Il vivait en colonies en Atlantique Nord. C'était un grand oiseau non volant, mesurant 80cm pour 5kg. Découvert au Portugal, ce dinosaure herbivore vivait au Jurassique supérieur. Son nom signifie "Déesse de la Terre". Il avait un long cou.

An Australian snake of the Pleistocene. Mapping the species revealed it corresponds to the sacred Wagyl sites: the protector of Nature!

A lovebird that lived in Africa. It fed on the ground.

Un serpent australien qui a vécu à l'époque glaciaire du Pléistocène. Il chassait en embuscade auprès des points d'eau. La cartographie de l'espèce a permis de constater qu'elle correspond, dans la tribu Noongar, aux sites sacrés du Wagyl: le serpent créateur des lacs et protecteur de la Nature ! Un mignon petit inséparable qui vivait en Afrique du Sud. Il avait de grands pieds et se nourrissait au sol.
