Of course, the Yaga Clan instantaneous recapturing any stronghold after a Red Moon is still "gamey" in #ZeldaBreathOfTheWild ... but maybe it is just Ganon teleporting them there. You see, a warlock did it.

Nintendo properly build them backwards in #ZeldaBreathOfTheWild: "We want human enemies. But we can't have Link kill them and just respawn them ... They should just flee instead! Let's have them teleport, so it is instantaneous. Hey, Ninjas are known for that." Bam! The Yiga Clan is born.

But what about the human enemies in #ZeldaBreathOfTheWild? Isn't there a issue with them respawning too, like in Enshrouded? There is only one fraction of human enemies, the Yiga Clan, and guess what: Link never kills them. They ALWAYS teleport away instead of dying.

In #ZeldaBreathOfTheWild the respawing is a story device, showing that just killing all the enemies will not solve the issue of Ganon. Unless he is defeated, the monster will always come back. It underlines the main goal of the game.

#Enshrouded respawning of the enemy also made me realize, how it didn't bother me with #ZeldaBreathOfTheWild. Monster and bandits respawning in Enshrouded feels so "gamey", since there is no clear reason in the game. Animals can wander, so that makes a little more sense.

I understand, the reason are technical limitation (the game needs to save all of those changes), but it takes from the fantasy, i hoped, the game will provide.

My major issue with #Enshrouded is the reset of the world after a restart or 2 hours. You can impact the whole world, but only a chosen area will stay that way. So any environment story-telling about your actions will just vanish. Kind of sad.

I guess, for both #Enshrouded and #ZeldaTearsOfTheKingdom making large areas inaccessible, having logical world building and creating a thread for the story, Miasma is properly an obvious choice. Natural hazards like swamps, lava, etc. need to fit the area. Magical Miasma can be anywhere.

Playing #Enshrouded with a friend and it fun to build and have adventure. It is heavily inspired by #ZeldaBreathofTheWild with #Fortnite and #Valheim building elements. Which makes it an happy accident, that #ZeldaTearsofTheKingdom and Enshrouded both use Miasma as an center element.

To speed up the game, I supported their ideas and decisions, which would move them forward. I still wished, i had more time for atmosphere, build-up and characterization. Next time i skip combine the introductions elements and start it closer to the plot. 4/4

Then we were in the prologue for some time. I didn't have much of a structure here, since i wanted to react on the ideas of players and build this part together. This way the have more attachment to them and want them to survive. But that means again less time for the plot. 3/4

It took around 1:30h for setup, introduction to the game and character creation, even so i took some time to have some semi-premade character. I need a better system to create and build characters more quickly. 2/4

So after working through the night yesterday and finishing my #CallOfCthulhu One-Shoot, played it today at an open event at a library in Fürstenfeldbruck, Bavaria. The people at my table liked it very much and we had fun. Needed to rush the ending, because 6 hours was too short at the end. 1/4

#DeltaGreen has an easy answer. They can't call the cops, because they ARE the cops.
But everybody being one also doesn't make the cast diverse and the plot surprising.

Always the same question with #CallOfCthulhu: Why wouldn't the player just go at the early part of the plot? " Then there is no game." is a weak excuse for the overall plot. Players should have something to excuse their characters with for facing obvious danger.

Even making a short OneShoot in #CallOfCthulhu forces you to research some obscure info, like the politics of senators from Vermont between 1880 and 1930. Or the history of railroad construction in that state around the same time. One of the fun parts.

Genau das will ja Putin erreichen. Der Westlichen Bevölkerung Angst machen, damit er bekommt was er will. Wenn das passiert, wird Putin immer mehr wollen und wir geben einfach klein bei.

The highlight for me will be the end, when the players realize, they have to kill the senator, because he will force the project to be completed and dooming mankind.
Pretty much worked backwards to have the player kill somebody at the end as the closer. Let's see, how it will work out.

Planing a one-shoot for #CallofCthulhu: "A senator hires a engineering firm (players) to verify a tunnel construction. At the secluded site the few residents secretly try to stop them. In the tunnel the players discover a seal that holds a creature and realize the project must be stopped."

The movie would be easier to recommend without the "poor people replace smart people" part. They should just keep it a mystery.
