While at the same time ramping up how fast you violently detain and deport the means of getting more fresh produce. Maybe they want to explode demand for produce and reduce supply so that wages go up so regular middle class people might want to pick. That’s always been Stephen Miller’s dream.

It was said in the first twenty or so seconds of the clip I’ve posted. And, no, it probably wasn’t the sole determinant of the outcome, but it’s an example of the many moments the prosecution was prevented from making a compelling point. It was death by a thousand cuts.

There were moments that Schroeder cocked up in Rittenhouse's favor. Like when prosecution used an iPad to show a video, defense countered that it was altered by AI and then Schroeder did not allow that evidence bc he's a boomer. It really hurt the prosecution.

Thinking everyone’s just an actor, faking a role for money and not personally impacted, is just him projecting himself on others. Dude’s not smart enough to know he’s telling on himself.

It's only going to matter what a jury thinks. Let them see how far these lies and deflections get them in open court.

Hopefully more courts will begin to cotton on that official agency policy is what's on X. Agency handbooks are only of scholarly historical interest.

But it’s seriously f’d that Kristi Sweet, a Kant scholar, is the university official placing limits on what he’s allowed to teach. Kant was one of the first philosophers to argue for academic freedom in universities. I’m sure she’s made her peace with the conflict, though.

He should write back and say that he’ll make sure the readings focus only on conversations Socrates had with others and anything Plato says will be removed.

Shenzhen is a probably the most centrally planned city to ever exist, not some free-wheeling libertarian fantasy world.

There’s a great Billie Holiday cover of that.

I take issue with a lot in my Catholic education. But the one thing that I’m grateful for is how my Catholic high school made a point to invite a Holocaust survivor to speak every two years. They were unsettling, transformative accounts. They introduced me to the moral possibilities of oral history.

I looked up Milton Hult. He was chair of the National Dairy Council and also owned an Iowa dairy company. Harvard MBA. So, Ruth did well. I’m sure the milk-based white sauce appealed to a dairyman such as Milton.

Trump’s going to be dust before they start producing oil in Venezuela:

“If Trump et al can produce a peaceful transition with little resistance, then in 5 to 7 years there is a significant oil-production ramp up as infrastructure is repaired and investments get sorted out.”
No quick wins in tapping Venezuela's oil reserves
Venezuela is unlikely to see any meaningful boost to crude output for years even if U.S. oil majors do invest the billions of dollars in the country that President Donald Trump promised just hours fol...

The US intelligence apparatus is looking pretty threadbare at the moment.
I believe this is the latest social media post from the US Director of National Intelligence, who hasn’t otherwise been heard from today.

Plus just how are you going to deal with the extremely pissed off neighboring countries? Blockade their ports? Send in the CIA that’s been diminished by mass firings? More midnight kidnappings?
January 4, 2026 at 8:43 AM
Obviously this was the deal all along with Putin: Russia gets Ukraine, and the US gets Venezuela. Only problem with this sort of realpolitik is that 1) the citizens of Ukraine and Venezuela don’t want it and 2) Russia/US are ill equipped to provide the security necessary to maintain stability.
During Fiona Hill's testimony to Congress on Oct 14, 2019, she described how Trump and Putin discussed exchanging Ukraine for Venezuela. The quid pro quo was if Trump refuses to help Ukraine fight off a Russian invasion, Putin would not help Venezuela (a Russian ally) resist a US takeover.

Democrats are falling into the Iraq War trap of half-supporting a war. The party needs to call for impeachment and protest nonstop. They must go on record of opposing this absolutely before it becomes the disaster it obviously will. If they do it when it’s obvious, their opposition is meaningless.

This is currently the stage we’re at in Venezuela. The media breathlessly covering jubilant crowds in Miami needs to be reminded that what came after Firdos Square’s celebrations was what really mattered.

Our Democratic leaders need denounce what happened as illegal and go after Trump with a fury. They need to become the anti-war party. Otherwise, like w/ Iraq, they’re going to be blamed for the disaster for decades.

And stop using the fascist slogan “America First.” What party do you lead anyways?

Try CapCut with the face mosaic. However, the limitation is you can only blur one face. And editing in CapCut requires you to upload the video to Bytedance’s remote server for processing. If you have an iPad, you can use Resolve or Final Cut Pro locally. I’d really only use those, personally.

You can try it with some grilled salmon, tuna from a can, freshly grilled tuna. It’s like basically sushi, just not wrapped so nicely. But the nori’s crisper when you do it this way.

You can serve it with some short grain rice, pork floss and gochujang mayo so he can make little Korean tacos.
