While reading about Indian-Chinese conflict in Kashmir I came across this Indian military base with a surprising Turkish name "Daulat Beg Oldi" In modern Turkish "Devlet Bey Öldü" which literally means State President died
In July 1533 the Khan of Yarkent died at this location on the way to his home

There is fashion to use original foreign terms while tslking/writing about something. But most often people make foolish mistakes due to their superficial knowledge. A good example is this coffee book. Turks use cezve not ibrik and rarely add cardamom

It is good that Turkish publishers are keen to translate and publish works about Turkey. But the quality really sucks. See the titles of the original book and its Turkish translation.
