There is still this narrative that the electricity prices in Germany is high. The truth is that nobody pays those prices. Most of the time, people switch their provider every year to get a huge discount. Deals like this are happening quite often: www.mydealz.de/deals/250eur...

Starting this new year, I can’t help but feel grateful. In a world that always pushes us to want more, taking a moment to appreciate having everything I need feels especially meaningful. mertbulan.com/2026/01/01/a...

Just finished reading More Everything Forever by @adambecker.bsky.social. Probably one of the best books about the tech industry, its prominent figures, their ideologies, and motivations. I think everyone in the tech industry should read this book.

If you had invested in European stocks instead of the S&P 500 at the beginning of the year, you would have earned about 15% more in gains.

If you follow the mainstream media, you'll often hear comparisons of GDP growth between the U.S. and Germany, usually framed as Germany "falling behind." That narrative misses the point: the issue isn't a lack of productivity, but rather that Germans generally choose to work fewer hours.

I don't know why ignored Acapulco for a very long time. It is such an amazing show! Finished the first two seasons in a week.

If you'd like to learn more about my journey and the origins of my Franzbrötchen app, I recommend reading Christian's article (in German). It was my first-ever interview with a journalist, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Thank you Christian!

City life can be complicated, with information spread across countless sources. That’s why I believe every city needs a City Super App.

In my latest blog post, I share why these apps are the future and how I built my own for Hamburg, Franzbrötchen.

I'm so happy to have finally found "homemade" Panettone!

I first tried it thanks to an Italian colleague who brought one baked by his Nonna, and it was absolutely delicious with the soft and fluffy texture. I've tried store-bought versions before, but none of them came close.

This was my best app launch yet, over 1.000 downloads in Germany! I really wish Apple provided a city-level breakdown so I could see how many came from Hamburg.

My guess is that Hamburg has around 500.000 iPhone users, so there’s still a long way to go. :)

Title: 21 Beautiful Christmas Markets in Hamburg
1st Place: A wine shop that serves Glühwein

This is why I built Franzbrötchen, there are ads everywhere, and it's too hard to find the information you actually need.

@albertguillaumes.cat Hey! Can I use your station drawings in my app that I designed for Hamburg? I'm gathering everything related to the city and your drawings would be a perfect fit! I'll definitely mention your name and link to your page.

OpenAI lost about $10 billion last quarter. For comparison, Apple's failed car project had 5.000 workers, ran for 10 years, and lost about the same amount in total.

Custom Product Pages are perfect for Franzbrötchen, but I wish Apple would allow you to add keywords for each custom page instead of limiting you to picking from the existing keyword pool.

I wasn't really expecting my app to become more popular than Bible. 😅

WOW! Franzbrötchen is in the 6th position in the Reference category in Germany! 😳
