It’s a cold one, but there is beauty there in this small town.

Yesterday while snowshoeing in the snowstorm, I came upon this fellow - you can see the camera move as I breath and listen to the snow falling.

We’ve been hearing barred owls call around our place for years, but I’ve never seen one. Today, there it is! Sitting outside my kitchen window!

Happier February 14th.

I love houseplants. I have …a lot. But, I don’t really understand them? So, it came as a pleasant surprise when this somewhat neglected specimen decided it was time to show off. I’ll take it!

Raising my son in cooperative play never seemed more important! Here’s to 6 thirteen year old boys outside in Maine’s snowy wonderland working together to survive a zombie apocalypse, with cake afterwards.
