At a conference and so happy one person finally mentioned the energy use (waste?) caused by AI. Unhappy that his takeaway - "someone has to pay for that" - was about literal money and not our immortal souls

I'm very anti this "Musk on drugs" outrage. We should scrutinize people in positions of power who cause harm when they cause harm. Not when we conventiently latch on to a conservative narrative of drugs as the enemy. Not when actual harm reduction saves lives.

I'm at the Greater Pittsburgh Festival of Books and it makes me so emotional (complimentary) to be in a space where abolition is talked about openly as the default. As opposed to going to work where I'm emotional (derogatory) because openness is stifled and humanistic beliefs are considered fringe

I just finished Kim Gordon's book Girl in a Band. Unrelated to the book itself I'm remembering when I finished yoga teacher training and my final exam was teaching closing postures and savasana. I swear I used a Sonic Youth song for it. Maybe Bull in the Heather?
