Our librarian pulled a list of 37 books yesterday that were flagged for “gender nonconformity.” I read 14 of them. The majority were “girl wants to play sports/is a cabin boy on a pirate ship for survival/girl has interest in male dominated fields” plus one instance of “boy plays dress up.”

For Blue Monday we can't think of anything more appropriate than this charming depiction of a man getting his face eaten off by a leopard.
