When a lobster outgrows its shell, it starts to feel cramped and uncomfortable. So it retreats under a rock, sheds its old shell, and patiently grows a new one.
Once the new shell is ready, the lobster emerges stronger than before.

It was a low key end to 2024 with @dkmomus at @istanbulhawaii. They now bake their own fluffy flatbread for the mezze platter and it’s all I want to eat! Had my favorite manti, wagyu kofte, baklava and kunefe.

It was a low key end to 2024 with @dkmomus at @istanbulhawaii. They now bake their own fluffy flatbread for the mezze platter and it’s all I want to eat! Had my favorite manti, wagyu kofte, baklava and kunefe.

My family used to bring Jackson Market beef jerky to Hawaii as gifts since 1973! But they’re on their 3rd or 4th owner now. Still good, but the recipe has definitely changed. :(

It’s getting a little cooler…so @tanakaramenhawaii has launched two new seasonal items! The new Tonkotsu Curry Ramen and Ika Katsu will be available at all locations until the end of February. Since we were sharing, I also ordered a tofu salad (to be healthy) and chicken skin (not as much)

Welp, the woman who proclaims that Hawaiian is a dead language sure gave us a lot to think about. But her subsequent post of “My island” and “America first!” and insisting her name is Kai, when it’s Anita, is insane. Especially since her home address is public…yikes

I spent all of 2022 in pain due to sciatica/herniated disc and it was so excruciating that i realized how many people with chronic pain go crazy or get desperate. Not excusing #LuigiMangione for his actions, but I can see how his journey with back pain led him to this point.
