I enjoyed learning the social penetration theory. I thought it was really interesting to learn how relationships develop and deepen through self disclosure. It taught me to understand that in order to get closer to an individual, share more of yourself and peeling back your layers. #UTcommtheory

I think it's still relevant! The video shows how the algorithm is the new gatekeeper, totally setting the agenda by just showing us what it thinks we want. That's why my feed is always the same! #UTcommtheory

I think I have a parasocial relationship with Kennedy Eurich. She's one of my favorite digital creators, and she posts real content of her life. I find it very authentic and relatable! She brings emotional validation to my life by normalizing everyday struggles! #UTcommtheory

My communication strategy is Assertive Assimilation. Since I have to balance two jobs with school, I often overcompensate, doing extra work in projects or volunteering for tasks, to ensure others don't assume my busy schedule makes me any less committed than my peers. #UTcommtheory

I think a fast-fashion brands should stop its blame culture. I'd recommend something like a team talk ritual where everyone shares mistakes to build understanding and better teamwork across all the departments. #UTcommtheory

I would pick Justin and Hailey Bieber! The main issue is Inclusion-Seclusion.They have huge tension between being a super public couple (Inclusion) and just wanting normal privacy (Seclusion). Its them struggling to choose what to share and what to hide from the media. #UTcommtheory

I will choose Information Seeking. As a nanny, I check out new parents social media to get a feel for their family and make sure the work environment is safe before I accept or start the job. This helps me know what to expect so i'm not surprised.

I think a theory's most important criteria is a new understanding of people. The whole point of comm theory is to understand how we interact. If it can't give me a new perspective on why people do what they do, its not useful. To me, real insight is more important than just predicting. #UTcommtheory

I’m definitely more drawn to the objective approach because I like taking things that seem complicated and breaking them down. It’s easier to understand with structure or evidence, and I just feel more confident when there’s something solid to go off of. #UTcommtheory
