The after-school program that was a lifeline for my then-foster/newly adopted son just lost its funding. "On July 1, the federal government froze payments to states that include 21st CCLC funds. These payments were promised and are critical to keeping our program, and others like it, running."

Every year around this time, @treblaw.bsky.social and I have a personal ask... We want to get wishes granted for kids in foster care. Lots of wishes... all the wishes! And we do it through an amazing organization we are personally connected to: One Simple Wish.
