Relatedly, we might adopt a strategy of going to someone’s website to find the authentic Bluesky accounts - but that ignores our cognitive and clickative miser tendencies. It doesn’t seem like a realistic way to teach media literacy on here.
Meanwhile, Rep. Beyer's home page now features a Bluesky icon next to the other social-media icons--which is apparently a Web-development task so difficult that it's eluded the grasp of the VC firm that led Bluesky's $15m round and is putting a partner on Bluesky's board.

With a keen eye, I’ve been watching for impersonation and how audiences adopt new credibility cues on Bluesky. (That was the topic of my diss!) And, it’s notable that the NYT didn’t set up its own domain for its reporters to signal authenticity of the accounts.
