A reminder for us all: our real leaders walk among us.

I snapped this photo during a visit to the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts back in 2017 and haven’t stopped thinking about it since.
😂💯
Should we start awarding points every time we explain what a vector file is?
We’d all be millionaires. 👀

Gone are the days when an insular clique of critics had the ability to make or break artists’ careers — and good riddance. That was more power than anybody deserves. The quality of a critic’s work now carries more weight than their cult of personality.
The Fabricated Crisis of Art Criticism
The genre is more alive than ever, so why are many eager to pronounce it dead?

"It turns out that not everyone’s cut out to wait in a queue to sit with virtual Marina Abramović. Not even Marina Abramović."
I Made a Video Game of “The Artist Is Present.” Marina Abramović Couldn’t Sit Through It.
What seemed at first like a simple game about waiting turned into a study in design focused on time, endurance, and audience experience.

I was asked earlier today what projects I’ve been working on lately & I laughed! Running an arts center has been my current project. 😅 It’s rare I find time to create for myself, but here’s a peek at something I’ve been working on recently. Felt good to hold a print in my hands again. 💙

I miss blogs. Social media was such a happy place back in like 2007-2013. I remember starting every morning with a cup of coffee and Google Reader.
