Meeting #1: No quorum, the members who were there took public speakers. Some elected officials did speak after the public.

“We just wanted the ability to discuss, with our colleagues, our concerns and hear from them and have them hear us” CM Willis said.
2 meetings scheduled for today related to finding a new Dallas City Manager.

One is at 9am — the other at 1pm.

Wish I could tell you what *might* happen, but I think after the chaos at City Hall last week, a firm outcome is up in the air.

If the trend continues, I’d say another delay is coming.

I’m going to add to this: If you live in Dallas and feel your community/community’s issues have been overlooked, I want to hear about it.

If you’ll have me, I’d like to get to know your area of the city better. Respond here/DM or email me to set something up! Look forward to hearing from you.
Hey, Dallas! I’m looking for someone knowledgeable about the Trinity River to take me on a tour of the area near W Dallas, Downtown and then the TR Bottoms. This is for educational / research reasons. Let me know!

🧵🧵 While everyone was understandably focused on national politics, something happened in Texas this week that has received far less attention than it deserves, given its potential consequences. And I'd guess even very plugged-in folks dont realize the full scope.

Let me explain (at length):
