🧵1: Having not been on this app for a few weeks, I'm coming out of the wood works to talk about the age of the actors in PJO. Which is to say: anyone who's worried about this needs to calm the hell down. It's actually very rare for actors to be the exact age of their characters

Well I guess I'm back on this app. It wasn't quite hitting so I kept forgetting blueksy existed but TikTok is gone... which I've been on since 2019. It was with me since my 2nd yr of college, thru my 1st real place of employment, & beginnings of a business... man :(

I applaud ppl who post their reactions as their reading or watching a series. I like following along ppl’s journeys thru a series but I feel so bad bc the comments are full of ppl saying, “ohhh just you wait!” “You don’t know what you’re in for!” & other spoilery types of comments. Idk

That sad day when you delete tiktok off your phone when a book comes out because people on that app are allergic to spoiler warnings. And I’m a slow reader so the risk of getting spoiled is high. I’m predicting in 20 minutes I’ll download it again like nothing happened

Lil backstory: yrs ago I got 1-4 of the PJO series in paperback, then the 5th in hardcover. I loaned out TLT to someone long ago, not knowing it would be difficult to replace. I’ve tried over the yrs but failed. My friend gave me an early present - the entire original covers for PJO 😭 (1/2)

So with the recast (RIP Lance 😔) of Zeus, are we getting a flashback with him showing up in person to turn Thalia into the tree? I’m pretty sure we’re seeing Poseidon in S2, but now I think we’re getting flashbacks with Zeus too. It’s odd timing to recast before S2 is done filming, isn’t it? 🤔

Welcome to the fandom!! The show is awesome, honestly. I enjoy the books but the show just hits different. I think people are still trying to build a community on here but everyone’s been so kind
Okay yea. The visuals are amazing. There will absolutely be changes, but I want to give a reminder that the animated movie is an adaption of the book and the movie changed everything. Also it’s BeBlois. I trust him with this series 🙌
I need an official HTTYD teaser release asap. I’ve seen some leaks & tbh the visuals are what had me the most worried. I trust the story bc DeBlois is directing & the animated HTTYD movie is already different from the book. The visuals look stunning even in low quality footage. Release the teaser😭

Apparently I have more to say about PJO. I actually want to talk about Gabe. I saw all the discourse about him & I flip flopped on how I felt w/ his portrayal. However many months later, I actually like how he was portrayed. He was pathetic & useless, just like in the book 🧵 (1/5)

While it’s on my mind, the conflict between Percy & Annabeth in E 1 & 2 is so good is bc they act like normal preteens. In the book Annabeth has the air of, “ew, boy cooties.” In the show the conflict is about her struggles with Percy’s existence & what it means for her w/ Thalia & the Prophecy
While I’m at it, I’m a Leahbeth truther. The moment I saw Leah’s casting I burst into tears bc she EXUDES Annabeth. Leah grew into her own in S1 &, lukewarm take, her portrayal of Annabeth is leagues better than in the book😭 Rick did NOT know how to write a 12 girl💀 no hate to him at all of course!

I just want to say, while I love the line from TLT where Poseidon says, “your mother is a queen among women,” I actually prefer the TV show version, where you can see the anguish in Poseidon’s face as he looks at Percy. Ppl said the adaption told but never showed, but I disagree

I am so excited for PJO season 2 it’s not even funny. Everything looks so amazing and it’s not even in post-production yet 😭 I just know we’ll get a season 3. SoM is the least favorite book & everyone’s beyond hyped anyway. We’ll get season 3. Trust 🙌
