Does Vance actually think the US is going to walk right in and take over Greenland without some sort of escalation? It's a territory within Denmark and Denmark is part of NATO. It's akin to Puerto Rico being a territory of the US and another foreign nation attempting to take it over.

Joseph McCarthy must be doing somersaults in his grave as Trump cozies up to Putin and Russia. People lost their careers and livelihoods during the McCarthy era. McCarthy alleged spies & sympathizers had infiltrated the United States federal government. How right he was some 75 years too early.

UN experts have cited the US Venezuela blockade as a serious use of force that it is also expressly recognised as illegal armed aggression under the General Assembly's 1974 Definition of Aggression". They've called on Congress to halt it. Guess who did the same and started a war?

If I had made a similar comment like Trump about putting Colbert to sleep, even here in Canada I'd get a visit from the police but in your country it's just another day for your president. In dictatorships, those words would be followed through.
