Thanksgiving terpitude! This is one reason past Thanksgivings were so fraught with conflict. Kids don't mix THC and Triptophan!

Santana Abraxas? YES PLEASE! The best digital release by far is the 2020 Japanese Sony Quadraphonic SACD release. Recreates the energy, scale, sheer power and vibrancy of the original vinyl! I have stereo DSD rips and its my go to when I set my stereo to 11 to be overtaken by a wall of sound.

Here's an article I jibe with completely. I love dressing in strong colors and patterns. When I dress without color for a few days, I get noticeably depressed. This has always been a balancing act professionally.

@bennjordan.bsky.social aka The Flashbulb has released a new album - Papillon! Wow this work really tickles my brain like champagne. Sliding around different grooves with a consistent micro rhythm all over. He feels like neurodivergent kindred. Really warm, smooth and deep sound quality too.

Just discovered a silly fun surf album from 1964. The Tornadoes: Bustin' Surfboards. Up your serotonin! One song was part of the Pulp Fiction Soundtrack. Listen on Qobuz:

If you like your artists to be mostly without artifice, carefree, and brimming with heart, @dadimakesmusic.bsky.social is your Icelandic avatar. Loving latest: I Don't Wanna Talk. Moulting his chrysalis of ten years of hair growth, I can't wait for his new album to drop!

Discovered a new Pianist, Ran Jia, playing some wonderful Mozart pieces. Amazingly technical and artistic, fulsome and fluid, with a strong left hand presence. More Rudolf Serkin than Alfred Brendel. The Fantasia is my favorite piece. The recording is superb with weighty depths and airy ambiance.

Dear Substack. I do not want to read long form articles on my phone, it is harder to fully digest them in that format, and harder on my eyes. More and more you are forcing me to use your "app" to read articles. I suspect you just want to mine my identity for more information to sell to Big Data.

REST IN POWER Roberta Flack. She has been the one of the most influential musicians in my life. From her First Take she was a Quiet Fire that fanned revolution and resistance. The melancholy romance and trials of love in her music got me through some very hard times. Music in replies.

These days, Cher a very limited, monochromatic ghost of a meme. I watched this old show today and remembered being a child watching her on TV. I didn't understand anything that was going on, but loved the sparkly colorful costumes, headdresses, sets, and good times.
