Father, Husband, Engineer, MBA. I enjoy talking about sci-fi, fantasy, and comic-book movies, but I often feel compelled to talk about the ugly subject of politics because everything seems to be falling apart.
Trump and Putin are negotiating how to divide up Ukraine between them. Why does that sound so familiar? Oh yeah, now I remember: Hitler and Stalin once held similar talks about Poland.

Trump supporters are like the bully who kicks over a kid's sandcastle. It doesn't make the bully's life better, nor does it solve any of his problems.

He might even get in trouble, but he doesn't care, because he derives such joy from ruining someone else's day. That's who Trump supporters are.

If the goal of eliminating DEI was to "restore meritocracy", then why did Trump also rescind the executive order against racial and gender discrimination?

If you're sincerely just trying to hire the most qualified people, you don't need to rescind anti-discrimination orders to make that happen.

Pete Hegseth had the gall to use the word "meritocracy" 8 times in his Senate confirmation hearing. To conservatives, "meritocracy" is code for "don't hire women and minorities".

Hegseth's idea of meritocracy is actually cronyism: he's only getting the job because he's friends with the boss.

I don't know what's worse: the idea that Samuel Alito is lying during official proceedings and pretending not to know what PornHub is, or the idea that Samuel Alito planned to rule on it with no knowledge of what it is. It's like a traffic court judge asking what a car is.

Trump will be in the Oval Office on Monday, but he didn't do this alone: it was the oligarchs who put him there.

Elon Musk is the kid who wasn't allowed in the clubhouse because he can't get along with anyone, so he bought the clubhouse and covered it with pictures of himself. Now everybody wants to leave.

Thanks for creating a new clubhouse, Blue Sky.
