Hi I am studying game development as both a hobby and as a college degree! right now my main project is an action fantasy game (playable demo soon I hope)
Posting at a reasonable hour! jump and dash cancels now cost 25% meter (except 5D that one is free) special cancels are working and you can KO your opponent. I'm working on a 50% roman cancel like mechanic and air turns but they a still work in progress.

Big Update, enemies are being made! This little guy is still a work in progress but he can currently get surprised by the player, follow them to their last know location, chase, throw "fireballs" / attack, and die with a ragdoll (it's not done yet). Also player UI.

The player can now lock on to enemies. this can be toggled on or off and any attacks that lunge will now go to the target if there is one. this required me to remake a lot of the game but it feels so much better to play. next I'm gonna work on the new harpoon!

I took a break from the punching skunk game to make a quick mockup of an on rails shooter with an all range mode. This was a fun way to keep the development itch scratched and dodge burn out on my bigger projects.

Okay last one. Some attacks: Heavy sword launcher, Sword Dive, small jabs, A charge punch that can also be a grab and a lunge grab / wall slam. There are more attacks and movement abilities in the works that I'm exited to show off once they're done!

Another Post, The player can now be hit, guard, and dodge attacks (its there trust me). Additionally the new segmented model allows for injuries to be added to the skunk whenever they are hit by attacks. I hope to make this non random in the future.

Get ready for a post dump! But first some smaller updates!
The skunk has a new model, that is divided into discrete parts. Also 2 out of 3 weapons are modeled, textured, and imported.

Smaller update but I'm stuck in animation purgatory (fun).
I'm working on making animations for all of my major buttons, next I'm going to work on the animations for the harpoon so swinging will look and feel better for the player, also the sword is real

It took a bit but I have the first version of the player character done with the basic movement animated!
so far I've made the Hold, Run, Dash, Jump, Falling, and Landing and it only took rebuilding my entire state machine
