Lovely to have the Bishop of Huron visiting his parish church of St. John the Evangelist this morning. The youth proclaimed the Gospel in dramatic form and it was fabulous.
Best line is Joseph’s : “there has been a lot of drama, Mary!”

I celebrated the Eucharist at a wonderful—if long—funeral service for organ builder Gabriel Kney. He chose all the music (lots of lovely Bach) and he knew just how it would sound because he built our tracker organ at St. John the Evangelist, London. Requiescat in pace, Gabriel.

I have just obtained a beautiful BCP altar missal that is the *entire* 1962 BCP and not the abbreviated, Holy Communion-only version that I have seen and used heretofore. Anyone know anything about it? It’s a Cambridge University Press printing from 1962.

“Traditionally, one of the best things about the Church of England has been its ability to include people from an astonishingly wide spectrum of theological opinion; from (to caricature just a little) deeply conservative evangelicals who take the Bible literally and warn darkly against sexual sin;.

There’s a reason so many academics are dismissive of the Trump/Musk/Vivek types and it’s that we’re all very aware of the Overconfident Bro Who Hasn’t Done the Reading But Still Wants to Lead the Discussion
