Poor Ravi didn’t go to sleep until almost 2:30 because of his coughing due to his allergies. And then of course Arjun woke up around 2:30, which means I’m running on less than 3 hours of sleep. At least today is my day off and Ravi and I can read and catch up on sleep.

I’m sure Arjun will bring this up in therapy when he’s older 😂😩 he’s so cute when he sleeps like that.

Didn’t get many pictures today but took one of Christopher playing chess with Xavier and the other kids watching. Glad we were able to grill and enjoy the nice weather and have people over.

There were attacks in New Delhi and Islamabad, capitals of two countries whose leaders blame the other for the attacks. My heart goes out to the victims of the attacks & I worry about what this means for the future of the countries who have been fighting for decades.

Had another therapy session today. It was difficult talking about things I’ve had to deal with, my past, things I’m dealing with now, learning the multiple losses of family members I’ve had in my life at a young age affects my fear of losing everyone and being/feeling alone.

Arjun Man is 5 months!
He’s enjoying oatmeal but doesn’t like purées as much due to his reflux. He loves his big brother & is very fascinated by Cassie, especially when she wags her tail. He rolls over & can sit up assisted. Anyone that sees him says how happy he is cause he loves to smile & laugh!

Ravi went to my office before his doctor appointment. He got to play in our observation room with the toys.
He got tested for allergies, & is allergic to mold, dust mites, cat, dog, horse, & guinea pig 🤦🏾♀️ he did good getting prodded for the testing.

It has been a morning. Got woken up by the baby monitor beeping at 11:30. Apparently the power went out and the baby monitor stopped charging. The power hit multiple counties and lasted for 2 hours.

We’ve been working with Ravi on learning how to read. This morning he sounded out the words and read what his shirt said. We’re so proud of him and know he’ll be ahead in reading when he goes to kindergarten. We’re also starting writing and basic math.

Ravi did well in a swim lesson today. He didn’t get out of the pool once and didn’t hold onto the teacher with a death grip the whole time 😂. He practiced kicking and got a banner for being brave.

Ravi decorated a rangoli for Diwali tomorrow. We did it last year but only had one left so Ravi got to decorate it (with help from mommy).

Ravi got to spend a gift card he got for his birthday, he bought a TMNT remote car. We then went to Dave & Busters, and then finally got ice cream. It was a tiring but fun day.

I can’t wait to do this with Arjun! I had so much fun doing it with Ravi to see what foods he liked or didn’t like. It definitely helped to make Ravi not picky with foods.
