Earlier this month our Assistant Ecologist, Paul recorded a spider that is uncommon for the region found in his Cheshire home. A Green Meshweaver (Nigma walckenaeri). The British Arachnological Society confirm this species is moving further north but is only just reaching Cheshire. 🕷️
A nice found yesterday in Cheshire. A Green Meshweaver (Nigma walckenaeri). Not many records for Cheshire from what I can tell. @inaturalist.bsky.social @britishspiders.bsky.social #arachnids #spiders #wildliferecording
