As the government reopens and SNAP benefits are restored, millions of families can finally breathe easier. But this fight against hunger is far from over.

This Shabbat, take a moment to reflect on what we have, on our Jewish values and the work still ahead.

Shabbat shalom!

The SNAP crisis may have ended, but the next crisis is just beginning.

Join us to fight back! We've extended our postcard campaign through spring. Help us reach 47,000 postcards to Secretary Rollins—each representing 1,000 hungry Americans.

No one deserves to go hungry. No exceptions.

This is no cause for celebration. Let us never lose sight of the fact that the Trump admin weaponized SNAP and played games with the lives of 42 million Americans without a moment’s hesitation.

America’s hunger crisis didn’t begin with this shutdown, and it won’t end with the passage of this bill.

This #VeteransDay, millions of food insecure Americans — including veterans — are still waiting for their SNAP benefits, and the Trump administration continues to weaponize hunger.

But even beyond today's #SNAPcrisis, veterans face unique barriers to food insecurity.

As we enter Shabbat, our hearts are with the millions of Americans facing hunger amid the ongoing SNAP crisis. With the shutdown now the longest in history, countless families don't know where their next meal will come from.

In times of uncertainty, our values call us to action.

It’s validating and truly powerful to see the order requiring the Trump administration to fully fund and issue SNAP benefits by tomorrow.

Now, we must keep the pressure up to make sure the Trump administration drops this unconscionable appeal and immediately releases SNAP contingency funds.

The charitable sector is stepping up to try to meet this crisis; however, it is not going to meet the need for all 42M who lost SNAP benefits.

We need to fully fund SNAP now.

Partial payments are not exactly half for many SNAP beneficiaries.

Some calculations show benefits slashed to as low as $6-20 for the entire month of food.

Last night, we went to the USDA building to send a big message to Trump: Half isn't good enough—FULLY fund SNAP. Trump has the power to stop this but chooses politics over people. One in eight families rely on SNAP, and half funding means hunger. Don't starve families so you can play politics.

In a shocking announcement of his apparent intent to defy multiple federal courts, Trump announced that his administration will refuse to fund SNAP until the shutdown ends.

Two courts were explicitly clear that SNAP benefits must start flowing IMMEDIATELY.
