36, they/them, so very tired
Finally started Mikaella Clements' Feast While You Can and I'm enjoying it to the level where I'm frustrated at every other thing I have to do in my life because it's stopping me from reading more. 💙📚

Stop what you're doing and post a gif of your favourite anime.

Still reeling from watching Frankenheimer's Seconds last night. It's unlocked a deep fear of the inability to change in me

Introducing myself with
one book
One movie
One album
One tv show

I think my special interest is watching others' special interests and imagining it's mine.

Watched Mad God last night, that is one of the most viscous films I've ever seen.

Had *another* dream where I found a cheap second-hand Sega Dreamcast at a second-hand shop. Why does this happen every six months?

De Palma's Sisters is so fucking good. It's a perfect Greatest Hits remix of so many of Hitchcock's ideas while still being wholly its own thing

I miss being a night owl so much. I honestly think that having to adapt to morning life has cut my productivity by 30%
We, as a society, have given the morning people far too much power

So, yeah. PAX was a blast. Now I'm thinking of becoming a Vampire: The Masquerade person

PAX time!

I finally caved and got Cyberpunk 2077 to give it a go. It's killing me that they put one of my favourite character creation models in a first person game where the mirrors don't work 90% of the time.

Put Animal Crossing on my 3DS again, damn that has a satisfying gameplay loop. Really weird to go back from the amount of customisation in New Horizons, though.

I just watched The Crow on DVD, and it turns out it's a terrible transfer and in 4:3.

It was the closest to the VHS experience I've had in over a decade

I'm going to track my reading for the rest of the year here: First up, Rouge by Mona Awad, a gothic horror that takes aim at the beauty industry that took my breath away. I really loved it, Awad really knows how to put sentences together to suck me into a story. Highly recommend

Still thinking about Massacre at Central High, a weird proto-Heathers that is one of the few revenge killing movies that don't revolve around sexual assault.

Thinking real hard about becoming a pottery person.
Feeling restless? Throw a pot!
Rough day? Throw a pot!
Friend's birthday and need a present? Throw a pot!

I think would actually solve most of my life's problems

Being able to go to the beach in September is terrifying in the long run. My only coping strategy is to lean into the enjoyment of the moment

For all its complexity, Tears of the Kingdom is just so impressive in its intuitiveness. I just picked it up after leaving it for well over a month and fell straight back into it, exploring all of Eventide Island.

Just realised I have inadvertently worn matching pizza socks and underwear today

My head just processed the idea of pizza bagels and I want to make one right now

In my last DnD session, I got a Cloak of Useful Items and all the sudden I'm Inspector Gadget
