Still in the trance of this latest post, so I don’t know how to say any more about it than the words contained in it. It has wild strawberries, peonies, resistance work, faith, community and love in it. If that’s your cake, please have a piece on me. 💜

Oh my goddess! What an amazing turn-out for our No Kings! event in Waterville, Maine, yesterday! I've heard estimates of 650 people in Veteran's Park. A new record for Indivisible Mid Maine. We just keep getting stronger.

Great May Day Strong event in Waterville Maine yesterday! Atmosphere: festive. Messages: clever, angry, inspiring, beautiful. People: many first time attendees, all ages from stroller to walker. Weather: perfect!
We had close to 300 people at our May Day Strong, Waterville, event today! What a great day. Lots of great energy and signs, and so much joy. The people are rising up to defend the things we hold dear, starting with democracy itself, not to mention our human and civil rights!!!

I didn't expect to learn about not leaping yesterday, but I did and, yeah, it was uncomfortable realizing how insecure I still am, especially in this decades old body of mine. A little grace for all of us is called for, eh?
On Fear, Self-Doubt and Holding Back
Yesterday I watched myself hold back for fear of looking foolish and learned a lot about not leaping.

When we get through all this I’m going to advocate for the creation of an immediate slapdown of any move by the president that is unconstitutional. An enforcing body. Help me out here. Could we make that work within the confines of the Constitution?

We have learned that Congressman Jared Golden will be speaking at Colby College in Waterville on Wednesday, April 16th, at 6:00 PM. This is a private event that the public is not invited to. Golden has refused to hold a town hall meeting. Let's show him, non-violently, how we feel!

In my latest Leap Letter, I spill it all on hwat, where and how I get my news and how I keep from going crazy in the information deluge that is our lives. Talking directly to my friends who are finding it difficult to get into action and find themselves paralyzed and fearful instead. Hope it helps.
