Honestly, not the worst thing they could be doing with their time. But if this counts as a deployment, as I assume it does, this might be the most expensive trash collection scheme in human history.

Buses on 34th St crawl at just 5.5 mph — so it wasn't difficult for us to win @ridersalliance.org + @transalt.org's annual bus race yesterday.
But change is finally coming in the form of a long-delayed busway, thanks to the leadership of @keithpowersnyc.bsky.social, @ebottcher.bsky.social and more.

I wish everyone could've made it to the Greatest Gathering, certainly the greatest of gathering! I plan to make a video about it, but also of some other events revolving around Railway 200 and the S&DR. So be sure to be on the lookout! For now, enjoy these pics!

Genuine question: In the UK, does roadway infrastructure have higher clearances for bridges and tunnels because the engineers who built the railways screwed up the loading gauge?

What I really don't understand is the need to replace the Bombarider cars. These cars currently make up half the Red Line fleet and are ADA compliant vehicles. They just need a mid-life overhaul to continue reliable operations. Why do we need to replace the ENTIRE fleet?
