Oh one more thing, the rate of set releases and constant spoiler season make the excitement or hype around these totally irrelevant and nonexistent. Why would we care about any card previews or this if all the information is released months ahead of time and we all already know which cards to buy?!

There is so much wrong with Early Access. It doesn't show off new mechanics, the streamers picked are picked by standards no one knows except WotC privately, we learn nothing about the meta of any format, the req'ments for play are unclear, and it's boring to watch. Support streamers better, WotC.
I enjoyed most of the Lorwyn Eclipsed Early Access event but one aspect. So many folks wanted to play reanimator and control decks in the BO1 queues.
This generally makes for bad content, boring for viewers, doesn't *really* highlight new cards.

Every set release I get this feeling: Every single MTG creator has a top 10/top 5, tries to sell you their SB Guide or deck tech, or tries to corner the market on the best decks to play week one. But why listen to any of them? What credentials do they have? Just a thought. MTG content is saturated.

I've taken a break this month. 2025 was overwhelming. My role at the MTG Rebellion has shifted and continues to shift but with regards to content I could never catch up to my ambitions for this past year. I have a lot of ideas on how to come back stronger in 2026 but I must admit I'm tired already.
