@gtconway.bsky.social WHOA, mortgage foreclosures jumped 20% in October. That is huge. But when coupled to delinquent payments on auto loans and credit cards, shows a huge consumer slowdown. Now add in rising grocery prices and me think the economy is not going so well.

I for one think the Epstein Ballroom will be magnificent. I love the decor theme of “what if Uday Hussein ran a Ramada Inn.” And giving it a theme song everyone will associate with it is a stroke of brilliance! “Thank Heaven for Little Girls” is very catchy.

Enough. Obama needs to be the voice guiding the Democratic Party. He has a great approval rating, he is smart, eloquent, and visionary. Someone needs to take control to flip the house and we need a strong leader to push it through.

I have been saying this since he first announced the Ballroom.
It does somehow sum everything up neatly. Trashy vulgarian unilaterally decides to tear up an iconic American building as though it’s one of his tacky private clubs, rather than a national monument he has very temporarily (and foolishly) been permitted to inhabit.

@gtconway.bsky.social George, with the referral of John Brennan to Justice for prosecution underscores the need for a central Go Fund Me for people caught up in the ridiculous BS prosecutions of Trump's enemies. Everyone chip in a $1 or two, and lawyers get paid and people get defended.

OK, so our "Secretary of War" currently has two big priorities: (1) murdering innocent fishermen in the Caribbean, and (2) endangering the lives of commuters in Southern California.
