Great to be in Prague for the European Law Abound Conference at Charles University.

I presented a paper co-authored with Prof. Piotr Tuleja on informal institutions in the Polish Constitutional Tribunal.

A pleasure to meet so many friends and colleagues!

And our Team is complete!

Dr. Vahid Taghvaee joins the Zugzwang team. Holding a PhD in economics, he joins the University of Silesia in Katowice. We are sure that Dr. Taghvaee’s expertise will be crucial for the team to dive deep into the empirical part of the project!

Welcome to the team!

A trip to Dubrovnik (Croatia). Sea, waves, and a pen. I am starting to really enjoy "computer-free" academic writing.

Today, I presented my paper “Zugzwang Court Unpacking,” analyzing cyclical court packing through a case study of the Mexican jurisdiction at the #ECPR2025 in @ecpr-law-courts.bsky.social

Excellent feedback from @johank76.mastodon.nu.ap.brid.gy (discussant) and the rest of the participants.

The @ncn.gov.pl-funded project “Constitutional Zugzwang: Towards an amendment theory on constitutional momentum” is getting started! But what is a Zugzwang itself? That's what we'll tell you about soon. For now, we welcome you to our profile and encourage you to follow it!

Proud to be featured in Chronicles of Silesian Science 2024. My project on supermajority rules in constitutional courts, funded by EEA Grants, was a big adventure.

Silesia has become special for me. It has given me an academic home and new friendships.
