Absolutely! The idea we should go watch a madman rant about the past because some people think he is more compelling in person is insane. Don't insist we give him a platform when so many of us have worked so hard to keep him and his followers as far from us as possible.
It’s embarrassing that publications keep writing about how we should go to a Trump rally. I’ve lived in small town Indiana. I am clear on what happens at those rallies. The idea that we need to expose ourselves to bigotry and toxicity for some ambiguous idea about understanding is stupid. At best.
