Starting to build a self-hosted “paste → deploy” platform for my homelab: paste a single Python file in a web UI, select allowed secrets, and 1 min later it’s live on k8s with a web UI + API, TLS, and GitOps. Would you use something like this?

Feeling a bit green today, my current EDC. I’m liking the opinel, it feels classy, and was amazingly inexpensive.

Just realized one of my dogs seems to assign point values to people in the house and chooses who to be near based on the best “score.” 🐶
I’m going to model his behavior like a decision tree with utility weights.
Anyone else ever track their pets like this?

Newest iteration of the knife. I’m really liking this design. The 3d print really does give you a feel for it, although the balance is obviously completely off.

Ahh, summer weekends in Phoenix, perfect time to start cleaning and prepping the garage for a workshop. I’ve got to start using all the equipment I’ve got including the laser engraver. Any suggestions for organizing a small workshop?

Does anyone have any tips on designing with 8020 aluminum extrusion? I’m getting ready to start building some woodworking/metalworking workbenches for my garage and want to try to avoid any obvious mistakes.

So, obvious in hindsight, but a total game changer. I brought a decanter of bourbon with me to the patio for cigars instead of going inside every time I finish my drink. Less work, and it’s “classy”

Hmm, is it weird that I created a full inventory and tracking system in Notion for my EDC equipment? I now have a complete inventory 50+ Flashlights (thanks olight), 40+ knives (how did I get this many, yes apparently I have a problem) and I can track what I actually use.

Got the Titaner Mixx 3.0 Ruler from Kickstarter in the mail today. It’s pretty nice, and always fun to have a slide rule nearby.

So I really like Mikrotik gear, but their WiFi just sucks. I’ve been having intermittent slowdowns with my WiFi network (2 Audiences) and have been assuming it’s just due to congestion. Signal just went to trash with no changes, got an old access point and I’m getting faster speeds than ever before.

Having a Davidoff Escurio after a full morning of house projects. Going to be sore tomorrow. But realized now useful to carry a edc kit around the house. Used every thing in it, including the Pry bar.

So the new ChatGPT image stuff is pretty cool, and good for the ego. I asked it to do an action hero in plastic clamshell packaging based on a photo of me and what it had in its memory.

So Delta sucks, first apparently they charge for baggage unless it’s first class and then they refused to add my KTN number, saying that’s only for frequent fliers…yeah, I know, that’s why I have one. This then led to an argument with a TSA agent about whether a drawstring was a belt. I hate flying.

So was looking into mechanical keyboards last night, and saw some Hall Effect ones, somehow I ordered 4 new keyboards.

Found another use for the #edc prybar. Taking off those stupid pour limiters from bottles of alcohol, didn’t cut myself like I normally do when I use a knife.
