We know Christmas can be a difficult time for many people. We are sending love to everyone struggling to see God’s light reflected in them and anyone who finds this period challenging.

Even amidst all the rejoicing, God sees and receives your sadness.

One real eye-opener for us this Advent has been seeing all our carol services packed. People want to sing about Jesus and hear the lessons. So many have come with friends, family, their community, from student digs and more.

This afternoon I had the privilege of leading the service at The Meadow.
Watching a dad living with dementia, looking at his daughter as they shared the Lord’s Prayer together, was such a gift.
A holy moment in the simplest way.
It really is the small things.

Doorbell rings this morning… I open the door and there’s a Jehovah’s Witness standing there. My first thought was, “Why me?” 😅

Nice to have a picture with the @hullkr.bsky.social. Challenge Cup, the League Leaders’ Shield, and the Super League title. This is what success looks like. Not many teams can say they’ve lifted all three! With @hlunn.bsky.social

I appreciate the UK weather warnings as Storm Claudia brings heavy rain, and I feel for those affected. But it’s a bit embarrassing that it’s such a major headline when the Caribbean has just faced one of the strongest storms in its modern history.

This Remembrance Sunday, I’ve been reading Charlie Mackesy’s Always Remember — a powerful and beautifully illustrated reminder of love, loss, and the importance of memory.

Let’s take a moment to reflect, to remember, and to be grateful. 🌹

It comes a time when singers should retire. Tonight, Rod Stewart proved that point at the Festival of Remembrance. When our household had to sing Sailing just to drown him out… it’s time to dock the mic. ⚓🎤

Shaun Wane in his post-match interview: “We got beat, the Aussies won the Ashes and we didn’t.”
Now I’m no coach, but isn’t that just stating the obvious? 🤦‍♂️

Today is All Saints’ Day—a time to honour all the saints of the church and remember those who have impacted our lives.

Happy Halloween, everyone! 🎃 I know some Christians don’t agree with Halloween, but I see it as a unique tradition with deep roots.

Today we celebrated a truly special Sunday at Muswell Hill Methodist Church. One of our Local Preachers marked 50 years of preaching, and our amazing organist celebrated 40 years of faithful service as church organist! 🎉

Well done to Gary Lineker on winning NTA Presenter of the Year 👏👏👏

Interesting that the BBC never got Rylan in for having an opinion… 🤔

“Perhaps it’s ok to use our platform to speak up on behalf of those who have no voice.”

Today marks the beginning of the new Methodist Connexional year, and I step into my 8th year of ministry. Grateful for the journey so far, for the people I’ve walked alongside, and for the grace that continues to lead me forward. Here’s to another year of service, growth, and faith. 🙏

A prayer for start of the new Connexional Year.

O Christ of the morning,
You who sang the stars into being,
Sing again into our hearts today.

As a new year unfolds,
we walk into the next chapter of your story,
the next line of your song.
