Inflation is up again - if you don't want your nest egg to lose value, pick a savings account with a rate higher than the CPI figure. The good news is most accounts do offer rates above 2.3% AER. The bad news is the number of inflation-beating deals has dropped www.which.co.uk/news/article...

Brilliant idea 💡 👏
I used to do this and record it for my own amusement. Pretend I was an 82 year old called Moira and keep people on the phone for as long as possible. Such good fun. Record was an hour and 45 minutes.
This was a fun one. UK teleco O2 is using a chatbot named DAIsy to string scam callers along for up to 40 minutes to waste their time. Daisy's already taken more than 1000 calls from fraudsters who've tried to defraud the doddery old lady not realising she's a bot. www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/...

Feels like I'm just posting to the void since I'm just getting started here, but why not. I write a weekly newsletter, and this week I write about how far away from reading and critical thinking we’ve come. It's lacking in our education, COVID learning loss, social media attention spans, all of it.
