By Matthew Friel Trust forms the cornerstone of a democratic, harmonious, and thriving society; trust between its citizens, trust in shared beliefs and principles, and, crucially, trust in a system of governance that facilitates this. However, over the last two decades, the trust placed in politicians and political institutions has nosedived.
