An oak chest owned by Lady Griselda Balfour (1922-1977) who was a socialite and daughter of the 7th Earl of Airlie. Her brother married Princess Alexandra of Kent. The chest was most likely a family piece that was passed on and sold, finding its way to me through the channels of time.
