Having a curry tonight so dug out a very old menu for our local favourite place. Inflation is real people. Look at those prices! £4.30 for a lamb sagg. Each of those dishes is over £9 now. Still delicious, but explains why we only do take away as a treat.

Brain is weird right? Out of nowhere my head stated thinking about the breakfast I used to have as part of my hall fees at Swansea Uni. Five items of hot - no more - no less. I remember being outraged that two halves of toast was two items rather than one and having to pay 65p for a sausage.

Just reading @keefstuart.bsky.social piece in the Guardian about kids gaming during the summer (it’s good). It’s just about balance in the Flye house. Kids can game, but have to have a long leg stretch as well. They’re playing - and loving - It Takes Two at the moment. Which is awesome.

Just reading @keefstuart.bsky.social piece in the Guardian about kids gaming during the summer (it’s good). It’s just about balance in the Flye house. Kids can game, but have to have a long leg stretch as well. They’re playing - and loving - It Takes Two at the moment. Which is awesome.
So my youngest kid’s verdict on Superman - it was good, but I preferred Cool Runnings 🤷🏼♂️

Today’s challenge - fitting a gum shield for a seven-year-old. There was some gagging, lots of drool and me mostly trying not to get bitten.
Mission accomplished though and he wore it round the house for about two hours so that’s something.

I’ve been going for years (see profile pic) but the excruciatingly high ticket price, plus ridiculous booking fees means I’m out this year.
